Miika’s foray into film evolved from an initial chapter as a copywriter, continued as an award winning offline editor, and included stints at Fallon, and Saatchi & Saatchi, as their Director of Creative Content, before finally settling into directing.
His multidisciplinary approach to directing draws on his past roles, with a keen understanding of the filmmaking craft and process. He has developed a fondness for physical effects, natural light, darkness, dark humour and beauty. Perhaps apt for a man originally from Finland.
